June 2025 Brassy Woman Highlight - Katelyn Holliday
About a year ago my little brother FaceTimed me from Tennessee. He was hiding in his Air BnB bathroom and he was holding a ring, the words that came out of his mouth were “she said yes” and honestly at first I was shocked, I knew he was in fact in love and head over heels for this little gal from Texas. He spoke so highly of her and it made my big sister heart overflow with joy, and months earlier I remember him telling me he was gonna marry this girl, so really if I'm being honest I wasn't too shocked. I truly think the most we can ever hope for our siblings is for them to find the right person to love them through it all, I've gotten to see my brother grow into one of the most incredible young men and over the last year I've watched him become a husband and now an expecting father alongside the love of his life. They go together like peas & carrots.
Looking back when I think about who I could see Tuck with I think its has always been Katelyn, she’s determined in the pursuit of her dreams and goals, nothing can stand in her way. She’s beyond tough and strong but also so loving kind and loyal to the folks closest to her. She’s willing to speak her mind and will tell it how it is. She is beyond supportive of others. In my brother's words “ she is an absolutely phenomenal cook, like amazing on the spot with whatever she’s got to work with.” She is handy and can do any job that is set in front of her. I know Tucker couldn’t have found a better wife, and mama to their little boy. She can do it all, and I am so proud to call her my sister. In my eyes she embodies the definition of a Brassy Woman, tough, bold, strong, a little sassy, and willing to go the extra mile, with a heart and soul made of solid gold.
