About the BrAnD
⚡️Meet Cassidy Holliday – Founder of The Brassy Buffalo Co.⚡️
Hi there! I’m Cassidy, the hands & heart behind The Brassy Buffalo Co. I started this adventure on my 20th birthday in the living room of my apartment in Colfax Wa, fueled by a lifelong love of all things silver and shiny. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been enthralled by jewelry – I remember being mesmerized by my mom’s, aunt’s & grammies big silver rings and bracelets, dreaming that one day I’d create beautiful pieces of my own. Fast forward to today, and it’s amazing to see how far that birthday dream has come!
I’m a Montana gal, born & raised. A cowboys daughter, the experiences I’ve had cowboyin’ with my dad through some of the prettiest country influence my work in the biggest way. Dad instilled a deep love & appreciation for the land & a damn good horse.
Even though I left the Big Sky Country for a bit, my roots have always called me home. In 2021, life brought me back home to western Montana, I made the choice to pause for a bit to care for my grandpa who was battling dementia. He was my best friend and biggest supporter, and being there for him was an easy choice – family means everything to me. That experience taught me to never take a single moment for granted and reminded me why I pour my soul into this work. Every time I sit down to craft a new piece, I carry with me the love and lessons my grandpa, my mom, my dad and so many other loved ones have instilled in me. It’s a big part of why I create: to honor the people I love, to cherish memories, and to share a bit of that love with everyone who wears a piece off of my workbench.
By day I’m a barista slinging coffee at Big Creek Coffee Roasters, after my shifts a silversmith & that’s where my spirit truly soars. I personally handcraft each & every piece, often starting with vintage silverware or other “forgotten” treasures such as reclaimed copper romex wire that my pap held onto after their home build in the 1980’s, turning them into something new. No two pieces are ever the same, and that’s exactly how I like it: unique jewelry for unique souls. My goal is to craft jewelry that lasts a lifetime (and then some) – heirloom-quality pieces you can one day pass down through the generations. More than anything, I hope that wearing my creations makes you feel beautiful inside and out, because everyone deserves to shine. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet – I’m so happy you’re here, and I can’t wait to share my passion and spark with you.
