About the BrAnD
Well Hey There!
I'm so glad you’ve found yourself here! I started TBBC in the living room of my small Main Street apartment in Colfax Washington on my 20th birthday with nothing but a hope and a prayer and a whole hell of a lot of tenacity. I spent many a night banging out spoon rings, beaded chokers and earrings not knowing exactly what I wanted to make but knowing I wanted to make something. I truly found the medium I wanted to work with when I took a head first dive, more like a trust fall with no one at the bottom to catch me, into teaching myself to silversmith. Then combining silversmithing and traditional spoon jewelry to create something of my own, adding in reclaimed copper and a variety of different stones. It’s been a whole lot of trial and error and I’ve been so blessed to have amazing folks willing to dole out advice along the way. My biggest goal with The Brassy Buffalo Co. is to create heirloom pieces that can be passed down from one generation to the next. Similar to the jewelry my Mom, Aunts, and Gram have passed to me through the years. Each and every piece that comes off my bench has my hands involved in the designing and building process. I pride myself in creating mostly one of a kind pieces that are truly yours and only yours. Each piece has a story, whether it’s fabricated using an old sterling souvenir spoon, reclaimed copper wire, or sterling sheet I’ve milled myself. Jewelry can carry memories and so many of life’s experiences if we let it.
