Kim Giannone, Rage Kage to some kgphototface to others, is the reason I became a silversmith. I had the privilege of working alongside her at Jackson Hot Springs when I was freshly 18 green as grass + still wet behind the ears. She saved me the night I met her and to be quite honest I don't know if she knows that. She served me sparkly water with a slice of lime and a friendship grew, listening to the old timers of the big hole and people watching. She once watched me knock an African deer mount off the wall while dusting and laughed at me, or was it with me, as I tried to fix it. One day she told me I was meant for something more that I'd create something beautiful for the world. I am unsure if I would have had the guts to jump in if it wasn't for her. She's a photographer wielding a big ole film camera, she's captured an incredible variety of different life styles, from the inner cities to tops of mountains, to the ranchers and cowboys in the big hole valley. She's touched the lives of probably more folks than you can fathom with her absolutely stunning and boisterous personality. She's outspoken in what she believes and inspires me to be the same. She really is one of a kind.

I say all of this to acknowledge an incredible woman and pay tribute to her while she's still here with us. This year she's battled cancer, and the words seem to fail me here, I just don't know how better to show my thanks than to create and offer something that truly reminds me of her. and hopefully whoever takes this ring home is reminded of the incredible potential that lives in all of us. Thank you for showing me my potential Kim. I love you.

The money earned from this sale will go to Kim, Ryan and the dogs for whatever they want to use it for in this time.
